The Festival series runs from June 14 to August 30.
Team Officials must map out their season to meet the minimum 2:1 (practices to games) ratio.
Teams may organise exhibition games within SOSA as long as Grassroots Standards are followed and the Application to Host is submitted and approved.
The first festival (June 14, Kingston) will see all teams in one location for a fun, day-long Kick-Off event. Participation by all teams is strongly encouraged.
Subsequent festivals will be hosted in one or two locations on each date
SOSA will do the assigning of festival locations based on requests by dates, and scheduling for all sites
The host club will be responsible for booking fields, assigning referees, and site convening that day. They have the option to run a small canteen.
Clubs must choose between this format and house league, but not both.
Players must be on an approved Development Roster to play in this series.
Players not on a development roster need approval from the district
Clubs doing their own programming may have a weekly practice for a Festival team. They can enter two memorable events this season. For these teams, the festival series dates, SOSA festivals, and events outside of SOSA all count as memorable events.
Teams registered in the Festival Series may participate in two memorable events outside SOSA. For these teams, this is in addition to the three SOSA festivals.
