For the 2026 season, SOSA defines a Memorable Event as anything outside of a team’s regular schedule and being hosted outside of the SOSA District. 

U8 and U9 development teams should consider the Festival Series and the three SOSA Club-hosted Festivals (Cameron Memorial, First Capital Cup, Gaels Cup) as their regular schedule.  These teams may also choose two Memorable Events hosted by Clubs outside of SOSA.

Teams not participating in the Series should consider their Club programming as their regular schedule. They may enter two Memorable Events total; any of the three SOSA Club-hosted Festivals (Cameron Memorial, First Capital Cup, Gaels Cup) or any festival hosted by a Club outside of SOSA.

SOSA is offering a series of festivals to U8 and U9 development teams. There are seven dates to choose from. Teams can choose four for the entry fee of $250, and any additional festivals at $65 each.

This format allows all of our clubs of varying sizes to enter teams into festivals in a flexible manner that suits each club. The intent is to expose U8 and U9 players to festival play in a low-key, fun format that will encourage players and parents to continue into the Grassroots and Competitive stream of teams within SOSA.
