SOSA Player Development (PD) 2011/12
A meeting with Alex McNutt Region 5 (Eastern) Head Coach was held on Sunday 11th September to discuss PD in Ontario, Region 5’s role & the SOSA PD program. All SOSA Clubs were invited, as were coaches & interested parents.
On Sunday 16th & 23rd October, players will be evaluated prior to inviting a minimum of 20 boys & 20 girls into the SOSA PD program. Clubs, coaches or parents are asked to send the names of players who want to attend on these dates, to: -

Please note &/or include the following information: -
- Players should be born in 2000, however younger players will be considered if their talent level is sufficiently advanced.
- Indicate whether the player is a goalie, defender, midfielder or forward.
- Phone number, e-mail address & parent’s names.
- Home Club &, team & coach played for in 2011.
Schedule for evaluations to be held at the Loyalist Sports Dome, Wallbridge Road (Loyalist College), Belleville is as follows: -
Boys – register at 9.30 am & play from 10.00 am -11.30 am.
Girls – register at 10.30 am & play from 11.30 am – 1.00 pm.
You must wear turf shoes or trainers, NOT cleats.
Shin pads are obligatory.
There is a field fee of $5 (cash) per player for each session.
More details about cost, commitment & duration of the program will be given at the evaluations. Coaches & parents who came to the information session will already have received these details.
Input from coaches & Club TD’s with regard to selection of players is welcomed. Players will be notified by e-mail if they have been invited to join the program.
